Six Vietnamese fishermen and their fishing boat QNg 94912 TS are being seized at Sanya Port in Hainan, China.

At 9.00 am on July 10, representatives of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Guangzhou visited the fishermen and proposed necessary measures to protect the Vietnamese citizens, he said, adding that their health are stable.
Vietnam’s functional agencies are closely working with the Chinese side to clarify the case.
Right after six Vietnamese fishermen and fishing boat QNg 94912 TS were captured on July 3, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has directed the Vietnamese Embassy and representative agencies in China to launch consular measures to protect them and ascertain issues related to the case.
On July 6, representatives of the Consular Department, under the MFA, met with representatives of the Chinese Embassy in Hanoi to ask the Chinese side to officially announce the co-ordinates and the reason why China arrested the fishing boat from Quang Ngai Province and these fishermen.
