The diplomat said the strategic partnership has allowed both countries to reap productive connections in trade, science and technology, and counter-crime measures.

He further expressed his belief that the ties will grow more strongly to generate bilateral, regional and global benefits.

He said he hoped that both sides would step up education co-operation, especially the establishment of the Vietnam-UK University in central Da Nang city while mentioning the British Council’s provision of numerous scholarships to Vietnamese students and projects targeting children.

Meanwhile, President Sang told his guest that Vietnam has always kept in mind the support and assistance of international friends to national development.

He affirmed that Vietnam always yearns for peace and works to be a reliable partner to all countries around the world.

He agreed with Stokes that more policies needed to be created to provide a prerequisite for the development of young generations.

President Sang was confident that relations between the two countries would record strides in the coming time.
