A poor widow in Ha Tinh Province who is struggling with stomach cancer is calling for the community help to save her two children who are also suffer from diseases.

Nguyen Thi Binh and Vo Ta Quyen got married in 2010 and had two boys. Due to their financial difficulties, the couple and their children came to the southern region for work.
In October 2012, Quyen got into an accident at work and had was diagnosed with a brain injury. The wife tried to borrow money from anywhere she could to take her husband to hospital, however, even after the treatment, he remained paralyzed. He had to rely on others for all other daily activities. He died at the end of 2013, leaving the entire family burden on his 26-year-old wife and the debt of VND170 million (USD8,000).
Meanwhile, she tested positive hepatitis B and found out that the virus had been transmitted to her boys.

After her husband’s death, Binh’s health condition became worse. She is often in pain and has lost a lot of weight. She was later diagnosed with stomach cancer.
Now the young mother is bed-ridden. She knows her life will be short, but worries for her children, who are also sick. Doctors advised that they be given early treatment for their hepatitis, but she is unable to provide it.
Each day Binh is in serious pain, but cannot afford normal medication and has to rely on the cheapest medicines to ease it.
