Hundreds of residents in an apartment building in HCM City escaped in panic when a fire broke out on the 22nd floor on the morning of June 23.

The fire occurred at around 10am at the Co Pac Square apartment bloc on Ton Dan Road in District 4.
After the alarm bell rang, many residents rushed to find a safe place outside, fearing for their lives.
Firefighting forces arrived quickly after they got the call. It took them more time to put out the fire than was expected, as the blaze spread on the top floors, destroyed a large portion of the building. Luckily, nobody was hurt.
The Co Pac Square apartment bloc encompasses two buildings, A and B. Each building is 24 floors and and has both office spaces and residences.
Local authorities are still investigating the case in order to find the cause of the fire.
