Hanoi: Passport registration procedures made online

From March 20, Hanoi will be the first place to receive profiles for passport registration via the Internet, according to the Immigration Department under the Hanoi Police.

Accordingly, citizens can download and fill in passport declaration forms on the department’s website and submit them. After that, they have to bring their identity cards and population books to the department to take photos and receive the forms for verifying personal information.

The department also said, apart from distributing passports at No. 89 Tran Hung Dao Street, agencies, organizations and enterprises who have a demand of registering passports for 10 people or more can have an officer from the department come to deal with the procedures. One day before conducting all these procedures, they have to call 04.39396694 for registration.

When all the procedures are completed, if citizens request, passports will be delivered by express mail service (EMS) of the Military -run Telecommunications Group (Viettel) to their houses.

By carrying out the online passport procedure registration service, Hanoi becomes the first locality to receive passport registration forms online and return the completed passports to citizens’ houses.
