The Hanoi police's investigative agency decided to cease their investigation into a case of a doctor who dumped a woman's body into the Red River after she died at his beauty salon.

Doctor Nguyen Manh Tuong faces prosecution
The agency proposed that the municipal People's Procuracy bring the case to the court after three months of investigation. The body of the victim, Le Thi Thanh Huyen, has yet to be found.
Dr. Nguyen Manh Tuong, Director of Cat Tuong Beauty Salon, will be prosecuted for violating healthcare and medicine regulations, as well as illegally transporting a dead body.
Tuong’s accomplice, Dao Quang Khanh, who was security guard at the beauty salon, will also be also prosecuted for illegal transport of a dead body and theft.
The conclusion of the investigative body showed that Nguyen Manh Tuong directly caused the death of Le Thi Thanh Huyen during aesthetic surgery on September 18.
After being informed that Huyen had died, Tuong requested that his staff cover up the incident.
At around 11pm of the same day, Tuong, together with some of his staff, are alleged to have took Huyen’s body on board a car and carried it to the Post Hospital. He then decided not to take the body to the hospital but dump it into the river instead.
The body was taken to the river by Tuong's car while Khanh followed by motorbike. They are said to have stopped at Co Linh Road, where Khanh left the victim’s motorbike and bag before getting into Tuong’s car turning around to the bridge.
Allegedly the two then took the body onto the bridge and simply dumped it into the river. They were arrested a few days later.
During the investigation, Nguyen Manh Tuong’s family voluntarily compensated the victim’s family by paying VND150 million (USD7,097).
Tuong’s other staff who involved in the case are currently not being prosecuted with any crimes.
