A three-year-old boy in HCM City has just been found to be brutally beaten by his 15-year-old uncle.
Duc was hungry for many days
The little boy, Trinh Nguyen Thanh Duc has been rescued and kept by the police in Tan Hung Ward in District 7.
Previously, on October 29, a young man named Q. discovered three young boys wandering on Le Van Luong Street late at night. The face of the youngest child was full of bruises and bloody wounds. The children told him that they lived with a relative near there but they were not allowed to come home because it was late. Q then asked them to come to his house for the night but the two older boys, aged about 15 and 7, refused. Q decided to take the youngest child into his house and brought him to the police the next morning.
There police continued to find out that the child's back was also full of wounds that seem to be made by whipping. It also looked like someone burned his neck and leg with cigarettes.
The child later said that he was born in 2010 and the burns were made by his uncle, Trinh Dac Hoa.
According to local people, Duc often wanders on the streets alone and is usually left hungry. His uncle forces him to follow two other boys to beg for money and would beat him if he returns home with no money.
Duc's face covered in bruises
Last week, Duc was sent to Children's Hospital 2 after he was beaten by Trinh Dac Hoa (born 1998) and his friend Dang Tan Cuong (born in 2001). Hoa and Cuong were called to the police and then were released.
Hoa admitted that he used a 50cm stick to beat Duc because Duc refused to go out and beg for money. Meanwhile, Cuong admitted that he used cigarettes to burn the small boy.
