DTiNews readers have donated VND108 million (USD5,200) to a six-month-old baby girl in Thanh Hoa Province who is struggling with heart disease and malnutrition.

Dung's family receives the donation
Nguyen Thi Dung, in Hoang Hoa District was diagnosed with valvular disease of the heart and critical malnutrition after just two months after birth. Her limbs have become smaller, while her belly grew bigger.
Nguyen Ta Ly, Dung's father said they are planning to bring her to hospital again even though doctors have not said that they can cure Dung. She was also diagnosed with a new disease recently, rubella.

Dung's mother said, "When doctors returned our daughter and said they were unsure if they could cure her, the only recourse we had was praying."
On September 12, DTiNews gave a donation of VND108,220,000 to the family in Hoang Dat Commune.
Ly said he never thought that he would see such huge sum of money. "My family sincerely thanks all the kind people that came to our aid. We'll do our best to cure our daughter and pay our stagnant debts." he said.
