
The jury, including French ambassador, Jean-Noel Poirier, vnexpress.net editor-in-chief, Thang Duc Thang and singer, My Linh highly appreciated informative and dedicated stories Hoa regularly sent to the contest.
He said that he will use the award money to support his father’s upcoming visit to France. He said he has cherished a dream of inviting her father to France for a visit, but he could not manage. He had to work to cover personal living expenses and medical treatment for his father at home, it is still not enough.
Hoa’s father said he was very proud of his son and he will represent Hoa to receive the award at a ceremony to be held at the French Consulate General in HCM City on July 14.
Second prize of the contest went to Le Viet Khanh with a photograph collection titled, “A Night in Paris”.
Third prize o was awarded to Mai Ngoc Long, for an article “France in the yellow taxi”. With a gentle and delicate style, the young author demonstrates his love for France when he was a child until today, especially through the “Joe le Taxi” song.
The organising board has also decided to deliver prizes to French literary works translated into Vietnamese and souvenirs from the French Embassy in Vietnam to the following authors: Nguyen Thi Cam Van – the oldest contestant, Giang Ha Vy for the best creative entry, Phan Anh Kiet for the most touching entry, Vo Nhat Vinh for the most favourite entry, Nguyen Thi Hong Chi for the most impressive title.
The “France, I Love You” contest, organised during the Vietnam-France Friendship Year, has received 700 entries from Vietnam and abroad.
