This is the first time Dung has paid an official visit to Belarus – a powerhouse of mechanics, electronics, optics, chemicals, fertilisers, wood, paper and rubber processing.
Belarus attaches importance to relations with Vietnam, considering Vietnam a reliable partner internationally.
Dung’s visit aims to further strengthen the traditional friendship and relationship with Belarus, laying a firm foundation for fostering cooperative ties in various areas.
Vietnam and Belarus hope to raise two-way trade to US$1 billion in the near future and speed up the current negotiations of a free trade agreement (FTA) between Vietnam and the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
