The Prime Minister approved the proposal submitted by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs on a nine-day holiday for the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet).

State employees get nine days off for Tet
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, State employees will be off from February 9-17, 2013 or from the lunar month of December 29 to the lunar month of January 8.
However they will have to work on Saturday (February 23) to make up for the holiday, on February 15 (Friday).
On the Solar New Year, state employees will be off between December 29, 2012 and January 1, 2013; but they will have to work on Saturday (January 1, 2013) as the compensation for the day-off on December 31 (Friday).
State employees will have five days off on Reunification Day (30/4) and Labour Day (May 1) in 2013, from April 27 to May 1.
The adjustment will not apply to businesses that do not follow fixed days-off on Saturday and Sunday.
