Foreign tourists have their say on Hanoi youtube clip

Forty foreign tourists have shared their feelings about the culture, people, traffic and atmosphere in Hanoi in a short video clip.

 

Two young women said Hanoi was “crazy”

The clip has attracted around 30,000 views on Youtube within three days.

“I’m a Hanoian and am studying at an international school but have not yet had such an interesting idea. I plan to do the same clip in the near future,” Hong Minh commented on Youtube.

The clip was simply produced using cameras. The group’s members asked foreigners the same question, “If you use a few words to describe Hanoi, what would they be?”

The contributors were chosen at random from tourists wandering around Hoan Kiem Lake, parks and along streets.

Many people have the same feeling about Hanoi like “noisy”, “exciting” and “busy”. Many of the people questioned spoke about Hanoi’s traffic and are afraid of traffic jams.

Meanwhile, some others described Hanoi as “wonderful”, “surprising” and “beautiful”.

Thanks to its quick spread, the clip has been a hot topic of several online discussions about culture and language.
