Hanoi’s Gia Lam District police yesterday seized tens of thousands of bras which have been illegally imported to Vietnam.
The police conducted a raid at 4 am yesterday morning when the biggest bra agent in Thuong Village, Duong Ha Commune opened their store to receive two truckloads of deliveries.
It took the police the whole morning to gather the bras in nearly 60 bags. Store owner Ngo Van Hoanh failed to be able to provide documentation proving the point of origin of his stock.
Lieutenant-colonel Ha The Hung from the counterfeit goods team said the bras had been illegally-transported across the Vietnamese border and then divided into batches for transportation nationwide.
Many of the bras contained unidentified liquid which would need further analysis.
