Tran Thang, President of the Institute for Vietnamese Culture & Education (IVCE) in the US has 80 ancient Chinese maps confirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Truong Sa (Spratly) and Hoang Sa (Paracel) Archipelagos.
All the maps show China stretching as far as to Hainan Island only, without covering Truong Sa and Hoang Sa areas.
He is expected to present the maps to the Danang Socio-Economic Development Research Institute in November.
Vice Director Tran Duc Anh Son said his institute will study the maps carefully.
