A community dance performance entiled "Hay Cung Hat Vang" (Let’s sing aloud) was held yesterday at My Dinh Stadium, with the participation of 10,000 people, and was the largest of it's kind in the country's history.
The event was put on by the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism with the aim to connect people in the community, create a background to promote peace and to raise funds to help disadvantaged people.
Nearly 10,000 people of all ages gathered at the stadium beginning at 3pm to join in various arts and sports activities, including dance, "flash mobs", hip-hop routines, with the highlight being a massive sing-along of peace songs.
A number of local artists, including singers Anh Quan, Anh Khang, model Adrea, and the head of the UNESCO Hanoi office, Katherine Muller-Marin, participated in the event.
