Three hospitals in Vietnam have been presented with Hospital Management Asia prizes 2012 for their improved quality and social responsibility.

Professor Vu Van Dinh receives lifetime achievement award
Fortis Hoan My Sai Gon Hospital won the first prize for the most improved local hospital and the second prize for corporate social responsibility, with a project named “Healing hearts for poor patients”.
French Hospital of Hanoi and HCM City-based Cho Ray Hospital were given awards for the most improved local hospital. At the award ceremony Professor Vu Van Dinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Emergency Aid and Poison Treatment, received a lifetime achievement award.
Dinh, 79 years old, is now working at Bach Mai Hospital. He is the founder of the Vietnamese emergency aid and poison treatment area and has published a number of books on the subject.
The organising broad selected 35 finalists out of 363 entries from 89 hospitals in 12 countries.
The Hospital Management Asia conference focused this year on eight topics, including bio-medical facilities improvement, hospital management, patient safety management, improvement of service, marketing and promotion, clinical service improvement and human resource development.
