The Inspectorate has recently given these 10 clinics fines totaling VND250 million (US$12,000) and revoked licenses from 5 of them.
The agency also asked the police to investigate two cases of using suspected fake advertising licenses and three other cases in which foreign health workers worked without a work permit.
According to the Health Ministry’s Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy Department, 41 Chinese doctors have been licensed to practice in 16 provinces and cities nationwide, including 11 doctors in seven clinics in HCMC and 7 others in five health facilities in Hanoi.
In related developments, the Health Department of central Binh Dinh Province has issued a fine of VND4 million (US$192) to Bac Ai Traditional Medicine Clinic, a Chinese health facility in Quy Nhon City, for providing patients with medicines of unknown origin.
