India helps rescue Vietnamese ship

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs asked relevant authorities of the West Bengal State and Kolkatta port to rescue a Vietnamese ship in distress offshore West Bengal.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on July 3 asked relevant authorities of the West Bengal State and Kolkatta port to rescue a Vietnamese ship in distress offshore West Bengal.

The 4,374 tonne-ship belonging to Anh Son Shipping Trading Company in Haiphong City met with an accident because of bad weather on the way to India.

The Vietnamese Embassy in India had sent a diplomatic note to the MEA asking for urgent rescue.


It also met with relevant diplomatic officials to ask for help.
