Paramotor race to be held in Vietnam

For the first time Danang will host the International Paramotor Race, promoting the sport in Vietnam as well as tourism in the city.

 

International Paramotor Race comes to Vietnam 

Danang authorities announced the event at a press conference on May 4. The race will take place in co-operation with Japan Hang & Paragliding Federation (JHF) and AiREA Company.

In order to participate, competitors must have pilot's license from a member of International Air Sports Federation (FAI). Although Vietnam is not yet a member, through the JHF Danang International Paramotor Race 2012 is a part of FAI competition.

The competition is scheduled to be held from May 23 to 27, at Bien Dong Park, with 25 competitors from around the world, including Japan, France, America and Poland.

There will be several different categories in the event, such as racing, obstacle courses, formation flying and mock rescue missions.
