Hung said he believes that with political commitment and goodwill from both sides, the Vietnamese National Assembly and Chilean Senate will reap many successes.
According to the agreement, the Vietnamese National Assembly and Chilean Senate committed to boost cooperation and share experiences in legislative and judicial activities while respecting mutual sovereignty and national self-determination.
The two organisations supported enhancing the comprehensive cooperation between the two States and Governments in the fields of politics, foreign affairs, economics, trade, the environment, science and technology, education, agriculture, healthcare, culture, sustainable development and management.
From a multilateral approach, both sides agreed to boost cooperation in inter-parliamentary forums and events including the World Parliament Association meeting, the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum and international parliamentary events to which both countries are party.
