The Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology is set to offer two new disciplines, pharmaceutical chemistry and design engineering, whereas the HCMC-based University of Economics and Law will add international business to its degree programmes.
The University of Finance and Marketing, which is located in the city, is planning to launch three newborn areas, including international business, real estate, and hospitality management, according to Hua Minh Tuan, chief of academic affairs.
Two new areas of studies, including land registration and urban management, will start enrolling students this year at Nong Lam (Agriculture-Forestry) University, also based in the southern hub.
Many provincial junior colleges which have been upgraded to universities will also offer more seats to candidates in the upcoming enrollment season.
Universities in Vietnam annually begin enrolling in July, using standardised tests prepared by the Ministry of Education and Training.
