Coastal districts in the central province of Nghe An are ready to evacuate 54,000 locals from at-risk areas as Storm Nalge is forecast to hit the locality.

The provincial authority has instructed localities to quicken harvesting; prepare food and medicines, actively inform ships to seek shelter and discharge hydropower reservoirs.
Investors and contractors are urged to ensure safety for under-way construction works, particularly reservoirs and dykes.
Thanh Hoa Province has also made preparations to mitigate the effects of the typhoon. The province has harvested over 30,000 ha of rice, with the efforts ongoing.
The People’s Committee of Ha Tinh Province has notified over 3,800 vessels carrying 13,000 crew. More than 27,000 people in at-risk areas are also planned to be moved to safe places. The districts of Huong Khe, Vu Quang and Huong Son have taken preventive measures to deal with flash floods.
According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, by 7pm on October 3, the storm was some 140km of the North-North East of the Paracel Islands.
At 7pm today (October 4), the centre of the storm will locate towards the the south of China\'s Hainan Island, some 270km from the coast to the North East of Quang Binh-Danang.
By Wednesday, the storm is expected to stand some 100km of the East of Nghe An-Quang Binh coast with 8-10 level wind gusts.
Within the following 48 to 72 hours, the typhoon will move West-South West and turn into a tropical low pressure.
