Hanoi played host to a design contest to find the most fuel-efficient vehicles.

The vehicle that won the first prize
Among the inventions, a vehicle devised by VAP Company’s Chivas 24 team won first prize for travelling 355.546 kilometres on just one litre of petrol.
The distance was 35 kilometres further than last year’s record.
This is the second contest initiated by Honda Vietnam to encourage creativity among young Vietnamese. This year’s contest drew the participation of 27 teams with the majority of them being students.
The winners will have an opportunity to attend a contest in Japan in October this year.
A team from Hanoi University of Technology took second prize for travelling 333.957 kilometres on one litre of petrol.
The third prize was awarded to a team from Ho Chi Minh City Technical Teacher Training University.
