Thuan An, once a pristine beach that attracted many tourists, has turned into a dirty place nobody would want to visit.

Now, along the 2-kilometre beach, rubbish and debris can be seen everywhere. Locals litter without regret, and tourists add immensely to the problem.
One tourist from Hue, Ms. Dang Thi Yen, said, “I’ve been coming here every year on vacation for a long time. But now the place looks terrible.”
She added, “Unfortunately, there seems to be nobody cleaning up the beaches. The tourists who come here to enjoy a beautiful beach are destroying it without knowing.”
Up until now, the authorities have not taken any actions to deal with the problem.
