Internationally known bubble artist Fan Yang donated VND500million (USD25,000) to Sai Gon Giai Phong charity programme “Nghia Tinh Truong Son”, known as Sentimental Attachment for Truong Son Road, on May 3.
The funding came from proceeds of his performance at Hoa Binh Theatre on April 30.

Artist Fan Yang said that it was the first time he had performed in Vietnam and his purpose was to support the poor and underprivileged. He also pledged to continue donating towards the charity programme in future.
During the last two years, the charity programme had mobilised nearly VND100 billion (USD5 million) to support war invalids, martyrs’ families and the poor living in provinces along the Truong Son Road.
Fan Yang is a famed bubble artist holding 16 bubble blowing world records.
The artist, born in Vietnam in 1962, is currently a Canadian citizen and was born in Vietnam in 1962. His father is Hungarian and his mother is a Vietnamese who lives in the northern city of Haiphong.
He left Vietnam for the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia with his father in 1964. He was introduced to the art of bubble blowing at the age of 6, before he moved to Canada. He has held many performances around the world since 1982.
