Hau Giang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, the investor, intends to pump over VND506 billion (USD24.17 million) into the construction of the DHG Pharma plant.
With projected output of three billion GMP-standardised pills per year, the plant will serve local demand and exports, said Ms Nguyen Thi Hong Loan, the company’s Director.
She added that most of the production equipment and facilities at the plant will be automated, and are expected to be up and running in December 2012.
The facility will be built on a 8.07-hectare area in Tan Phu Thanh Industrial Park of Chau Thanh A District in two phases.
In the first phase, the plant will occupy four hectares to comprise a production facility, a storage area for materials and finished products, along with areas for quality assessment and offices.
The plant will be equipped with modern supporting facilities, such as a waste water treatment system.
