Vietnam International Fair 2010 (VIFF 2010) opened in Hanoi on Tuesday with over 350 booths from nearly 100 domestic and international companies.
The fair was co-organized by Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association and Vietnam National Textile Garment Group.
The booths in the VIFF 2010 displayed fashion and textile products like clothes, accessories, shoes, sandals, cosmetics and handbags.
Ho Thi Kim Thoa, Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade said at the opening ceremony that Vietnam \'s garment and textile export value is expected to reach the target of 10.5 billion U.S dollars this year.
Vietnam\'s garment and textile products are shipped to many big markets including the United States, the European Union, Japan and the Republic of Korea among others, said Thoa.
The VIFF 2010, part of the country\'s National Trade Promotion Program 2010, is expected to be an effective promotion channel for both domestic and foreign fashion companies, said Thoa.
The week-long fair provided a chance for companies to introduce their new products to customers, share information and experience on advanced technologies with each other and seek cooperation opportunities as well as provided a bridge between fashion producers and consumers, according to Thoa.
