As of Thursday morning, floods in south-central provinces have killed at least 13 people and left four others missing while authorities have warned more bad weather is coming.

Hundreds of houses collapsed, tens of thousands of others were submerged and many crops were damaged.
According to a report by the High Command of the Border Guard, about 28 ships and boats sunk and eight others were damaged by 6am Thursday morning.
President Nguyen Minh Triet and Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai took a Wednesday morning trip to Phu Yen province to witness and monitor the provincial authority’s handling of the flooding firsthand.
The central steering committee on flood control and prevention said goods such as medicine and chemicals to sterilize contaminated water will be air-transported to the flood-hit areas.
Local authorities are coordinating with armed forces and police to take prompt search and rescue action and to timely evacuate people to safe places.
Meanwhile, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorology Forecasting said that heavy rains would continue in central provinces from Danang to Khanh Hodue to an approaching low movement.
The central steering committee on flood control and prevention sent an urgent message asking ministries and local authorities to inform the owners of ships and boats currently at sea of the developments regarding dangerous weather conditions.
Relevant agencies were also urged to prepare and ready the rescue team to timely respond to any help requests from ships and boats.
