Vietnam Airlines (VNA) has announced an increase of 13 more flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi from October 7-11 during the 1,000 year anniversary of the capital city.
The flights have been added to meet the increasing travelling demand during the millennium celebrations of Hanoi.
After a promotion programme on the occasion of the capital’s great anniversary, VNA continues to increase the number of flights to the capital, especially given the devastating flood which has hampered travel in the central region.
For the Ho Chi Minh City-Hanoi route, two more flights were added on October 7, five added for October 8 and one more for October 9 and 10. On October 11, 4 flights will be added for the Hanoi- Ho Chi Minh City route.
The additional flights brought the total flights on the route to an average of 32 per day, providing a capacity of 8,860 seats per day.
Aircraft serving during the festival are Airbus 320 (150 seats), Airbus A321 (184 seats), Airbus 330 (266 seats) and Airbus 330 (282 seats).
