President Triet to attend Millennium Development Goals summit

Vietnamese President Nguyen Minh Triet will attend the United Nations High-level Plenary Meeting on the Millennium Development Goals, or MDG Summit, to be convened in the UN Headquarters in New York from September 20-22.

Also, President Triet and US President Barack Obama will co-host the second ASEAN-US Summit in New York on September 24 at the invitation of the latter, the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry announced on Sept. 14.
