After a 4 day weekend, throngs of people came back to Hanoi yesterday afternoon.
Although the number of people and vehicles increased dramatically, the police had prepared a plan to control the traffic so the traffic flow on streets and roads in the city was not so heavy.
The entrance to Phap Van-Cau Gie highway was filled with vehicles since 4pm

People hustled to catch buses
Many waited in front of the bus gate
Long waits left passengers exhausted
The number of vehicles went up sharply
Thanks to effective traffic control, traffic was manageable
