Ten fishermen who were missing in the third tropical storm of the year have been found alive and were taken to Da Nang General Hospital.

They have been rescued after being lost in rough seas, surviving for two days after the impact of tropical storm number 3 sank their fishing trawler.
Three rescue boats and a helicopter participated in search and rescue operations however, it took two fishing trawlers who spotted the men floating for them to be saved. They were in traditional round woven bamboo boats, which measure about 2.5 metres in diameter and are guided by one oar, according to Tran Van Long, head of the maritime rescue operations center in central Da Nang.
Long said the fishermen saw the rescue helicopter fly overhead twice but could not get the pilot\'s attention.
Fisherman Tran Thanh Tung, living at Cam An Ward, Hoi An Town, Quang Nam Province recalled, “When our ship started sinking, we all jumped out of the boat then used rescue basket boats.”
Tran Ut said tiredly, “Thank God we were able to survive after floating in rough seas for 2 days.”
After being rescued, all 10 fishermen were immediately taken to Da Nang General Hospital.
Nguyen Ngoc Ba, Vice Director of Da Nang General Hospital said that they all had suffered from dehydration. We received information they were coming about 20 minutes before they were taken to the hospital so we had prepared all necessary medical facilities and medicine and waited for them. Fortunately, nobody was in an serious condition.
Bui Van Thanh and Tran Thanh Toan were the most serious cases. Thanh is in the Recuperation and Emergency Department of the hospital. Toan has not yet regained full consciousness.
