The People’s Committee of Hanoi recently gave a permission for the Northern Food Corporation (Vinafood 1) and the Hanoi Trade Corporation to reserve goods in case of natural disasters during the storm season of 2010.
The city intends to allocate VND 100 billion for the Vinafood 1 (VND 30 billion) and the Hanoi Trade Corporation (VND 70 billion) to store rice, noodles or dry provisions, candles and drinking water.
These goods will be used as relief aid for natural disaster-hit areas within Hanoi in 2010.
The Hanoi’s People Committee Chairman assigned the Municipal Department of Industry and Trade to work with relevant agencies to supervise the provision and storage of relief aid.
