The winner of the upcoming Miss Vietnam World 2010 contest will get to take home a crown worth VND1 billion ($52,000) ,according to organisers.
Contest organisers reached an agreement with Zela, a luxury jewelry and diamond brand distributed in Vietnam. The company designed and created the Miss Vietnam World 2010 crown and will allow the winner to keep it.
Zela needed master goldsmiths to make the crown using their hands, and working for over 1,000 hours. The crown has 606 precious stones and is made of white gold.
This year’s crown was designed in the shape of a blooming lotus. Traditionally, lotus flowers are symbolic of Vietnamese women. The blooming lotus is a representation of the beauty of Vietnamese women.
The contest winner will be awarded with the following: the title of Miss Vietnam World 2010, a prize of VND 500,000,000 ($26,000), a crown and a certificate issued by the organising committee.
The final round of Miss Vietnam World 2010 will take place on August 21, 2010 at Vinpearl Land, Nha Trang City.
