US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton arrived in Vietnam on July 22 for a two day visit. She will take part in a round of ASEAN meetings and numerous activities to celebrate the 15th anniversary of normalization of Vietnam-US diplomatic relations.
This is the first time Mrs Hillary Clinton has visited Vietnam in her capacity as US Secretary of State.
She will have talks with Deputy Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem and attend the 15th anniversary celebration.
Mrs Clinton came to Vietnam in 2000 as former President Bill Clinton’s First Lady when her husband was the first president to visit the country since the end of the US war in 1975.
