Vietnam and Thailand have exchanged documents ratifying an agreement on the extradition of their prisoners and cooperation in the execution of criminal court rulings signed in Bangkok on March 3, 2010.
The exchange ceremony was held in Hanoi on July 19 by the Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Thai Embassy in Vietnam on the sidelines of the 43rd ASEAN Ministerial Meeting (AMM-43).
Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem and his Thai counterpart Kasit Piromya signed documents concerning the agreement which took effect as from July 19, 2010.
The signing of the agreement will help promote cooperation between judicial agencies from the both countries in crime prevention and control.
