Police of Dam Doi District, Ca Mau have added additional charges to the couple responsible for the brutal torture and beating of a 14 year-old boy.
The new charge is "intentionally causing injuries" and was added to the "torture" which the couple was previously charged with.

Senior Lieutenant-Colonel Nguyen Truong Ha, Deputy Chief of the Dam Doi District Police, said that following Nguyen Hao Anh's injury examination, they determined additional charges against Huynh Thanh Giang and Ma Ngoc Thomwere warranted.
According to initial investigations by the police, Hao Anh was tortured for supposedly not working hard enough at the shrimp farm owned by the couple.
Speaking to Dan Tri/DTiNews, the Senior Lieutenant-Colonel said that relevant authorities are working on this case in order to put it on trial as soon as possible.
Visiting Hao Anh on May 5 at the hospital, it appeared that his condition was improving, he is now able to speak clearly and eat.
