Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh has concluded his official visit to Laos, which was made at the invitation of Lao State President Chummaly Saynhaxon.
A farewell ceremony was held on April 15 in Luong Prabang province, at which President Saynhaxon confirmed agreements reached during Mr Manh’s visit, saying this will add fresh impetus to the friendship, solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation the two countries have traditionally enjoyed.
Mr Manh thanked his host for a warm welcome, saying his visit coincided with the Lao traditional festival of Bun-pi-may.
Both sides pledged to take advantage of each other’s potential and strengthen bilateral relations on the principle of equality for mutual benefit.
