Da Nang’s Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism revealed on March 31 that the number of visitors during this year's International Firework Competition increased by nearly 70% compared to last year.
Approximately 100,000 visitors flocked to the city in only 3 days from March 26 to 29. The amount of foreign tourists was believed to be 7,400 which is over 3 times more than last year's 2,000.
During the festival, many resorts in suburban and neighbouring areas also drew dramatically higher numbers of visitors.
Ba Na-Suoi Mo resort received 10,000 visitors which doubles last year's numbers. Ngu Hanh Son sight seeing had 11,000 visitors which is also twice as high as last year. The Cham Sculpture Museum welcomed 9,000 guests, double from last year, while Suoi Luong Resort had 4,000 visitors which is 6 times more than last year. Suoi Hoa Resort had 5,000 guests which is 8 times more than they saw during last year's event.
The event has proven to be a major draw for Da Nang's tourism industry.
