Still feeling the luck

Nguyen Van Het was an elderly impoverished man just weeks ago until his luck changed, and he became a Vietnamese billionaire from the lottery.

That luck came again as he won an additional VND 600,000.

Van Het said that since he won the lottery, many sellers came and asked him to buy some daily tickets. He never refused them. On February 23, after donating money to a Buddhist Temple at District 5 in Ho Chi Minh City, he bought 3 tickets and he won another VND600,000 ($31). He spent all the money he won that day buying more tickets. He figured, “Even if I am not lucky to win again, lottery sellers can still earn some money.”

A lot of people thought that he has very good luck and waited for knowing which tickets he will choose then they choose the same. Some tried to touch his hands with a hope that it will bring them the same luck he has recently had.

“I will have another 2 chances to win the biggest lottery prizes. It comes to my dream every night,” said Het.

Nguyen Van Het bagged the prize after spending VND100,000 ($5.1) on lottery tickets from "lucky money" he received ahead of the Lunar New Year. The poverty-stricken 97-year-old man won about 400,000 dollars.
