The Silver Shores International Casino and Resort officially opened on January 26 in Da Nang.

The resort, located on Son Tra Dien Ngoc coastal road, Khue My Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District has now the largest casino operating in Vietnam. It boasts a five star hotel complex that meets international standards with 549 rooms and 52 luxury villas. The casino interior is a European-styled design and there is also an international convention centre with 1,000 seats on a 200,000 square metre area.
The project was launched in 2006 with an investment of $160 million. The casino has a 15,000 square metre area and provides gaming foreigner gamblers only. Along with slot machines, guests may play Baccarat, Blackjack, Sic bo, Roulette and Caribbean Stud Poker.
The casino's investor has said that they will target players from places such as China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Beginning in March, there will be two flights from Guang Zhou (China) per week which will bring guests to the casino. Another air route, also departing from Shanghai (China), will be opened later.
