The man from Thach Ha District’s Luu Vinh Son Commune discovered the python on October 24. It weighs around six kilos and measures 2.5 metres in length.

After capturing the Indian Python, the man recognised it as an endangered species and reported it to local authorities.
The animal was taken to Vu Quang National Park for care and monitoring before being released back into the wild.
The Indian python, scientifically named python molurus, falls under government regulations managing endangered and rare wild plants and animals.
