Over one million students to sit high school exams

More than one million candidates nationwide will take the 2024 National High School Graduation Exams on Thursday morning.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, 1,071,393 students have registered, an increase of over 45,000 compared to last year. The exams will be held at 2,323 examination locations across the country, and hundreds of thousands of people have been mobilised for their organisation.

Hanoi has the highest number of candidates participating in the exams again, with 109,078 students, followed by HCM City with 90,062, Thanh Hoa with 38,775, Nghe An with 37,044, and Dong Nai with 34,088.

As scheduled, the two-day exams will begin on June 27 with literature and maths tests and conclude on June 28 with social sciences, natural sciences, and foreign language tests. The exam results will be used for high school graduation and university entrance consideration.
