Hoi An plans to welcome visitors again soon

Hoi An City in the central province of Quang Nam has planned to pilot the welcome of tourists again from November 15 after a long suspension due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Hoi An will reopen streets for pedestrians, night activities in Hoi An Old Town, Thanh Ha Pottery Village, Tra Que Vegetable Village, Bay Mau Water-coconut Forest and Cu Lao Island.

The Hoi An Centre for Culture, Sports and Television has proposed the launch of tours, including at night to several local spots.

The city will offer half-price tickets for visitors to Hoi An town centre and traditional villages. Many festivals and cultural events will also be organised to serve tourists. Travel firms will also have promotional activities.

Many companies, restaurants and bars have been upgraded to welcome tourists again.

Nguyen Van Lanh, vice chairman of Hoi An City said that the city had provided Covid-19 vaccinations for staff in tourist firms and residents in Hoi An Old Town. Tourism service providers are also asked to conform to Covid-19 protocols.
