Young piano talent to perform in Hanoi

Vietnamese piano prodigy, Trang Trinh, will give a solo concert at the French Cultural Centre, L’espace, in 24 Trang Tien Street, Hanoi on November 3.

Audiences will have an opportunity to enjoy masterpieces by Debussy, Donizetti, J.Massenet, and Franz Liszt.

She will perform together with a special guest artist from the Republic of Korea, Park Sung Min, who graduated from the prestigious University of YonSei, RoK and won a scholarship from the Royal Academy of Music, Scotland in 2011.

Trang Trinh graduated with high distinction in her Master of Music in Piano Performance at the Royal Academy of Music, London. She studied with Professors Christopher Elton and Hilary Coates and won the prestigious Sterndale Bennett Scholarship there.

After that, she bagged several prominent awards including the Francis Simmer Prize, the Gretta GM Parkinson Prize, and the Lillian Davis Prize. She won top prize in the Paganini Festival which helped her London debut in 2006, opening up an opportunity to work with Edward Gardner from the English National Opera.

She made her debut in Vietnam with “The Piano’s Journal” concert in February 2011. She has just completed her second performance tour in the UK, France, Hungary, Switzerland and will perform in China and Japan from 2012.
