A staff member at Hoang Ha Mobile store in Hanoi said that customers had made online pre-orders for iPhone 16 and the shop started delivering the products at midnight on September 26.

"We saw the first customers coming at as early as 10 pm on September 26 and the queue became much longer when we opened the store at midnight," the representative said. "Most of our customers bought iPhones 16 Pro Max."

Pham Thanh, from Hoa Binh City, said he had registered to buy a 16 Pro Max with desert titanium colour.

"I love the iPhone and always want to have the latest model," he said. "I drove 80 kilometres from my home in Hoa Binh and became the first customers waiting to have the new iPhone here."

Thanh said that queuing for the Iphone is faster than in previous years but chaos still happened at opening time.

FPT Shop and F.Studio by FPT delivered nearly 1,000 iPhone to customers on the opening day. And they expect to deliver the next 20,000 others after three days.

"We received nearly 50,000 pre-orders for iPhone 16 series and 70 percent of them for iPhone 16 Pro Max," the shop said.

TopZone also said that they received 40,000 orders for iPhone 16 and would deliver 20,000 on September 27.
