Hospitals restrict patients due to super typhoon Yagi

Several hospitals have restricted receiving patients at specific departments because of Super Typhoon Yagi.

Hanoi-basec Bach Mai Hospital has announced plans to halt admissions to the Voluntary Examination Department on September 7-8. However, the hospital will continue to accept emergency cases at the A9 Emergency Centre, Stroke Centre, and Cardiovascular Emergency Unit.

The hospital is also willing to handle mass casualty cases and set up mobile emergency teams to support typhoon-affected provinces in necessary cases.

The Hanoi Obstetrics & Gynecology Hospital will also suspend the voluntary examination service on September 7-8.

The General Hospital of Phu Tho Province has announced the suspension of outpatient services and the postponement of specialist consultations on September 7. However, emergency services will be intensified and run around the clock. Outpatient services are expected to resume on Monday, September 9.

The General Hospital of Quang Ninh Province halted the voluntary examination service on September 7.

The Quang Ninh Department of Health has asked local healthcare to be ready to respond to the super typhoon to ensure the absolute safety of medical equipment and medicine supplies and the absolute safety of patients.
