A source told Dantri/Dtinews that in Hanoi, the group will visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Hoa Lo Prison, and the Temple of Literature. Then, they will travel to Ha Long and the Trang An Landscape Complex in Ninh Binh.

The deputy director of the Hanoi Tourism Department, Tran Trung Hieu, said that they are preparing to serve the biggest groups of tourists to the city so far.

"We've asked local tourism sites and service providers to be well prepared to receive the group," the official said. "They've booked four-to-five-star hotels in the area and have some strict food requirements. We'll try to provide the best experience and, at the same time, create an image of a modern, dynamic, and hospitable capital."

Nguyen Nguyet Van Khanh from Vietravel Company said that they have worked carefully with representatives from the Indian tourists and are confident that they can serve the group well.

"We're co-ordinating with relevant units to inspect and make detailed plans to improve the reception, traffic flow, and arrangement of means of transport for the tourists," she said.

Vietnam has emerged as a favoured destination for Indian tourists. According to the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, the country received 392,000 Indian visitors last year, an increase of 230 percent compared to 2019, the year before the onset of the Covid pandemic.

In the first six months of this year alone, Vietnam welcomed more than 231,000 Indian visitors, a more than 160 percent increase over the same period last year.
