Northern region to face two rainy spells
The northern region of Vietnam has been forecasted to witness two consecutive rainy spells.
According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, northern localities will have rains from this evening, April 4, to April 6. Heavy rains would happen in mountainous areas with a rainfall of more than 50mm.
On April 8-11, the northern region would have another rainy front with whirlwinds and hailstorms. The rain would cause landslides and flooding for some low areas.
Hanoi would see the cool weather on April 5-7 with the temperature of 25-31 degrees centigrade.
Meanwhile, on April 5-6, the hot weather will ease in central localities from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh. Meanwhile, localities from Quang Binh to Thua Thien-Hue would continue to experience the hot weather with the highest temperature of more than 38 degrees centigrade.
The heat wave would still persist in the Central Highlands and southern regions on April 5-6.
